Product details
In Germany, the phenomenon of lobbying has gained significant importance in recent years. Changes in the social, political, and economic structure at the national level play a role, as do globalization and Europeanization. The typical forms of interest representation that have long been institutionalized and consolidated in Germany have also changed in the course of this structural transformation, evolving into diverse influence relationships between interest groups and political decision-makers. This pluralism of methods, strategies, and forms of lobbying has shifted from a marginal phenomenon to a distinct political activity. This work will not only illuminate the institutional structures as well as the practical and action-theoretical aspects of lobbying, but also examine the relationships among the involved actors and their resources.
