Literatur im DaF/DaZ-Unterricht

This book aims to provide an introduction to the possibilities of a communicative-production-oriented teaching approach, with a concise theoretical foundation and, above all, examples from practice. It does not intend to replace conventional text-analytical methods but rather to complement them. At the same time, it seeks to engage with important publications from the last twenty years on this topic. The book is designed to familiarize readers with essential selection criteria and, especially, to assist teachers with little experience in working with literature in choosing texts, designing exercises in a short time, and applying them in the classroom. Additionally, it aims to inspire educators to explore their own paths in teaching German as a foreign language through literature. The selected examples are largely drawn from literature in Austria, but they are not limited to that.
