Product details
Ernst Eckstein (1845 - 1900) was one of the most widely read authors of the founding era and is considered the founder of the gymnasium humor genre. He also wrote numerous historical novels with themes from Roman antiquity. The present work is the third volume of his novel trilogy about Nero, in which he depicts how and through what moments the originally mild, unspoiled, great, and noble Nero transforms into a superhuman monster (from the foreword). This is a reprint of the original edition from 1889.
