With the "Lies mal" booklets, which are independent of the textbook, children acquire reading skills on their own. The requirements grow with the acquired skills. Initially, the children read single words, later short sentences, and finally increasingly complex texts. In the process, they gain reading experience with different types of texts (short stories, non-fiction texts, rhymes, fairy tales, detective stories, newspapers, letters, puzzles). Supplementary reading exercises with clear action tasks (such as drawing, ticking or connecting) challenge and promote reading accuracy and text comprehension.
