On April 21, 1941, Hitler dies in an accident. Was it really an accident? Following his death, a dynamic develops driven by the goals of the key players, primarily Hermann Göring. The war against the Soviet Union does not take place. A rapprochement occurs between Germany and the United States. In a post-war order, the persecution of Jews must be kept secret. Rose and Henry live in a village near the district town. They are in the same class in elementary school and then attend high school together. Their initial friendship has blossomed into love. Then the National Socialists come to power, and their love is put to a severe test. Rose is the daughter of the Jewish merchant Rosenbluhm, and Henry is the son of the farmer and merchant Meichinger. The families are friendly with each other. The local Nazis' treatment of the Rosenbluhm family and Henry's father leads Henry to devise an adventurous plan.
