On 21.04.1941 Hitler suffers a fatal accident. Was it really an accident? In the aftermath of his death, a dynamic develops that is created by the goals of the acting persons, first and foremost Hermann Göring. The war against the Soviet Union does not take place. There is a rapprochement between Germany and the United States. In a post-war order, the persecutions of the Jews must be kept secret. Rose and Henry live in a village near the county seat. They go to the same class in primary school and then to grammar school together. Their initial friendship has turned into love. Then the National Socialists come to power and their love is put to the test. Rose is the daughter of the Jewish merchant Rosenbluhm and Henry is the son of the farmer and merchant Meichinger. The families are on friendly terms. The way the local Nazis treat the Rosenbluhm family and Henry's father causes an adventurous plan to mature in Henry.
