Sweden has not been involved in any wars for over 200 years, and this is reflected in the capital. While faceless new buildings rise elsewhere, the city center of Stockholm is home to houses that have seen much. Stockholm is an organically grown city, and a stroll through the old town, Gamla Stan, feels like a small time travel back to the 16th and 17th centuries. On the edge of the city center lies a national park - unique in the world. And then there are the Baltic Sea and Lake Mälaren, which lovingly embrace the city. Rasso Knoller took to the skies in Stockholm with a balloonist and met a Sámi ethnologist at the open-air museum Skansen. He discovered what Nobel Prize winners eat and enjoyed cocktails.
