Leserabe – Das wunderbare Freundschaftsband

In collaboration with the Ravensburger Book Publishing House, selected titles from the successful "Leserabe" series have been equipped with colorful syllable dividers. This means that the reading books from the current children's literature have been pedagogically adapted for reading instruction using the syllable method. The books in the "Leserabe" series are tailored to the specific needs of beginner readers in elementary school. There are three reading levels that are customized to the needs and curricula of the respective grade levels. Accordingly, font size, amount of text, the ratio of text to images, as well as content and language are adjusted to meet the respective requirements.

The books at the first reading level feature an extra-large print font, short, manageable text sections, and many illustrations. Each page contains only a few lines of text in very large print. The appealing illustrations take up a lot of space, supporting and explaining the entire reading text. Complex sentence structures are completely avoided. Simple sentences and words that are clearly understandable for beginner readers tell the story. There is a well-thought-out concept behind this: beginner readers quickly achieve success in their first reading steps, which motivates them and makes reading enjoyable.
