This volume makes lesson preparation for reading instruction easier, as it trains students' reading competence from a superficial understanding of simple texts to the flexible exploration of unfamiliar and complex content through motivating texts and illustrative worksheets. The reading texts included in the book cover different text types and offer a variety of tasks to develop reading skills, such as precise, fluent, and expressive reading. All worksheets contain tasks for clarifying content and language use, which train reading ability. The texts are aligned with the competency level model according to PISA, defined by five levels. An additional assessment key with point allocations is included.
