Les chômaliers franco-suisses

Consacrant le terme de chômalier, qui désigne les personnes en situation de chômage qui ont exercite un travail frontalier au cours de leur dernière activité (par contraction des termes "chômeur " and " frontalier "), this thesis selects and analyses certain legal issues that are relevant to this population. Among these, the recognition of the termination of the contract of employment abroad, the right to benefits in the case of partial unemployment, partial employment in the context of an allowance for return to work or even the possibilities of finding a job in Switzerland are explained. The sources of legal uncertainty are examined and pragmatic solutions are proposed.
