This workbook offers ideal preparation for biology lessons in secondary school years 5 to 10. The worksheets included can be used immediately without a great deal of preparation. These learning objective tests are ideal for refreshing and consolidating basic knowledge. The copy templates are suitable for use in free work, station-based learning, for individual practice at home or in tutoring and come with solutions for self-monitoring.

The "Humans" learning module takes you and your pupils on an exciting journey of discovery through the human body - from the smallest cells to the complex systems such as the blood circulation, the nervous system, the digestive organs and the immune system that make our lives possible. Topics such as evolution, reproduction, hormones, sensory organs, respiration, the skeleton, muscles, gender, sexually transmitted diseases and contraception are vividly conveyed.

The Basic Trainer offers a targeted review of basic knowledge to allow students to review, deepen and revisit specific topics such as drugs, alcohol and disease. Pupils can also use digital research options to further enrich their presentations and papers.

This module complements the previously published modules such as "The human being" blackboard pictures, "The human being" worksheets and "The human being" learning objective tests. It creates links between the different areas of knowledge and expands basic knowledge with new aspects. Varied task formats such as letter games, cloze texts, matching tasks and the labelling of illustrative pictures alternate to make the topics of cell biology, organs and the immune system lively and understandable. Technical terms are explained in the final section of the book, with specialist literature and internet research serving as valuable references.
