Product details
Due to his revolutionary pamphlet 'The Hessian Messenger' from 1834, Georg Büchner had to leave his Hessian homeland and flee to Strasbourg. There, about sixty years earlier, Jakob Michael Reinhold Lenz had worked as a tutor. This Storm and Stress writer inspired Büchner in 1836 to create his novella 'Lenz'. However, it remained unfinished and was only published posthumously in 1850. Both of these works from the Vormärz period have long been part of the classic reading canon and are now available again in an affordable edition.
