Lech-Radweg

The beautiful Tyrol is the starting point of the Lech Cycle Path, which closely follows the Lech River all the way until it crosses into Germany. The ride takes you through one of the last wild river landscapes in Europe, where the glacial blue river carves its way through picturesque white gravel banks and is flanked by towering mountains. The natural spectacle of Lechfall marks the transition into Bavaria, which welcomes travelers with its picture-perfect landscape of rolling pre-Alpine hills, green meadows, magnificent royal castles, and sparkling blue lakes. The lively town of Füssen then begins a series of noteworthy historical cities, continuing northward with the medieval Landsberg am Lech and the Fugger city of Augsburg. At the charming town of Donauwörth, the Lech finally flows into the Danube, and the Lech Cycle Path merges with the Danube Cycle Path.
