The 3rd edition of the standard work 'Habitats of Switzerland' is available in a complete revision. The introduction has been extended and now includes further methodological details on how to address the units. The listing and coding of structures and microhabitats has been renewed. The new edition provides more faunistic and floristic accompanying species to the habitats, improves the classification and is adapted to the currently valid Red Lists. Chapters have been added and expanded in the habitat areas of water and structures. In addition, many illustrations have been replaced. The now indispensable practical handbook has thus been further developed for use, while retaining the original idea and methodology of the previous editions.
