The pursuit of happiness is a central theme in our lives. We are particularly unhappy when we feel rejected, betrayed, abandoned, or unloved. Often, we try to protect our vulnerability by suppressing or ignoring such dark feelings. Alternatively, we may retaliate and punish the apparent sources of our crises with jealousy or revenge. This is where a wise coach would be beneficial, helping us to integrate these difficult emotions. Fanita English and Joachim Karnath aim to take on this task with their book. Among other things, they seek to clarify the dynamics of such crises.
