Leb wohl, meine Königin!

Vienna, 1810. A good twenty years after the French Revolution, a few survivors gather in the Austrian capital, devastated by Napoleon, to remember the past times at the court of Versailles. Agathe-Sidonie Laborde, Marie-Antoinette's reader, recalls her last moments in the company of the queen, shortly after the storming of the Bastille: they are moments of shattering happiness. Hour by hour, it became clear that the revolution could no longer be stopped. The closest friends leave the royal family, and the queen's escape plans also fail. In the end, Agathe-Sidonie barely has time for a last farewell.
