Learning environments for low to high achievers in numeracy

Primary school teachers experience a wide range of mathematical competencies within their classes. There are always a number of very good calculators as well as some slower students. Between these extremes lies the majority of learners, whose abilities are not homogeneous but rather widely varied.

The teaching suggestions from the title "Learning Environments for Struggling Learners to Gifted Students" enable teachers to have all children in a class work on the same tasks while challenging each child at their appropriate level.

The learning environments are based on fundamental didactic principles such as the "Number Book," but can also be used in conjunction with other teaching materials. The focus is on the core topics of primary school mathematics education. All learning environments have been tested multiple times in classroom practice. Key components of the book are the annotated student documents from the trials, which illustrate the range of possible learning outcomes. The volume is published in the "Spectrum School" series.
