Students Rashno and Hamid confess their interest in men one afternoon. Both know that in their country, Iran, same-sex love is punishable by death. When Rashno is introduced to his future bride at a family celebration, he breaks the taboo. A wild manhunt begins. Rashno and Hamid are certain: the noose awaits them. Stephan Klemann was born in 1963 and grew up in Cologne. From an initial heterosexual marriage, he is the father of two now-adult children and works as a human resources manager at an international company. He came out only at the age of 32. Nevertheless, he does not feel that he lived a false life before that. Today, Stephan has been happily married to his husband Daniel for many years.
