Last summer I set my mind on visiting Greenland. I can't remember exactly, but I probably read something about blue sparkling icebergs and mighty glaciers. And my daughter told me such a touching story about a whale's friendship with an old elephant cow, that it made me long to see one of these extraordinary creatures gliding through the water in some way.
And so I came up with the idea of a cruise.
Not only did the overwhelming nature amaze me and my friend, but also the ship customs were remarkable for us newcomers to cruising.
Anyone who wants to get some information about a cruise to the areas of Scotland, Iceland and Greenland can benefit from this travelogue just as much as someone who simply wants to know what it's really like on a cruise.
