Lassie und die Halbbrüder

The story from which the Lassie myth originated. A boy grows up in the barren northern English region of Cumberland alongside his older half-brother Gregory, who never quite connects with his stepfamily. Before her early death, their mother made Gregory promise to take care of the younger brother, but the estrangement between them deepens. Gregory becomes a shepherd and retreats into the moors. When the younger brother gets lost in a snowstorm and is on the verge of freezing, it all depends on Gregory and his dog Lassie. An exciting tale and at the same time the birth of the "Lassie" myth.
