Three trips. Three trails. Three fairy tales. The children of hunger, much loved, on their journey... One named John Muir undertakes a 1,000-mile hike across the USA in 1867, ultimately kneeling before a square meter of grass and moss to immerse himself in the mystery of creation. Another, nameless, crawls in the here and now over a local dry grassland, encountering the strongest life in the starkest conditions. A third embarks on a long future, almost cosmic journey beyond the age of humankind, to bring ancient spores from ice and fire back to new germination. How did one of the – let’s call him: prophet – once promise? There are still songs to be sung beyond humanity. Paradises, congealed in humus, star origins, pressed to the flesh.
