Over thirteen years, the Office for High-Rise Buildings of the City of Zurich has conducted 50 architectural competitions in residential construction. More than 4,000 apartments have emerged from these competitions, contributing to the excellent reputation of Zurich's housing development. The Floor Plan Manual not only documents the typical floor plans of all winning projects but also showcases a wide range of innovative floor plan types, where either established spatial organizations are questioned and further developed or unconventional concepts are devised and tested.
