Laboratory Techniques in Thrombosis - a Manual
EnglishProduct details
The first edition of this manual was published in 1992 and was titled ECAT Assay Procedures. It was the result of a unique collaboration among experts brought together by the European Concerted Action on Thrombosis and Disabilities (ECAT). At that time, the Concerted Action was under the patronage of the European Union Commission. The second edition, like the first, addresses diagnostic tests in the field of thrombosis. However, the second edition has a broader scope, as it is no longer limited by the boundaries of ECAT. Experts from around the world, both within and outside of ECAT, have contributed to this edition. The editors are very grateful for their contributions. The need for a new edition is evident. Since 1992, new tests for research, diagnosis, and therapy of thrombosis have been introduced; improvements have been proposed for other tests, while some have become obsolete.
