La Lupa

La Lupa - born as Maryli Marconi in the far end of Val Onsernone and having wandered into the German-speaking world over the Gotthard: Her powerful natural voice fills every room without a microphone, resonating with the souls. The long Onsernonetal ends at the border. From Italy, smugglers and occasionally a wolf came over the rocks. Borders must be crossed, something La Lupa learned early on. Thus, the audacious German-Italian mix of her programs breaks cultural barriers, intertwining songs, poems, quotes, arias, canzoni, and juicy ballads - meaningful, demanding, and with the utmost precision. La Lupa has shared her long journey over the Gotthard with Silvana Schmid. From the little Meri, who performs acrobatics on the wall of the church in Comologno, to the bride in white, Maryli Herz-Marconi, to the magnificently costumed performer La Lupa, who transforms the streets of Zurich into her stage every day.
