Kurdisch-Deutsches/Deutsch-Kurdisches Taschenwörterbuch (Zentralkurdisch/Soranî)

The series of standard works that began in 1992 with the Kurdish-German Dictionary (Northern Kurdish/Kurmanci) has now been continued with the Pocket Dictionary Kurdish-German/German-Kurdish (Central Kurdish/Soranî). It is aimed at Kurds as well as Germans, helping them learn both languages with the most important words from basic vocabulary in areas such as culture, politics, economics, religion, and history. Additionally, some idiomatic and colloquial expressions have been included where appropriate. The dictionary contains approximately 30,000 entries, provided in both Arabic-Kurdish and Latin-Kurdish transcription. For an expanded vocabulary, we recommend the more comprehensive dictionaries German-Kurdish (Soranî, 2016) and Kurdish-German (Soranî, 2005).
