Kunstwerke entdecken und nachgestalten

The examination and reinterpretation of artworks is an important topic in art education for students with intellectual disabilities. Students with intellectual disabilities require a highly structured approach that allows them to engage with the colors, shapes, and design criteria of a piece of art. This volume presents eight artworks that are prepared for exploration. Using picture cards, you can work with your students on the colors and shapes of the artworks as well as the design criteria, and record the results on the board. Afterwards, the students create their own images inspired by the original, utilizing various artistic techniques. They are again assisted by picture cards that outline the steps. Templates for board images for each chapter further facilitate your lesson preparation.
