Art and math - how do they go together? Geometric shapes, ornamental patterns or optical illusions meet the children at every turn. They allow an unusual approach to art and mathematics. The pupils invent creative patterns, discover the laws of shapes and surfaces, compare and paint artistic ornaments, create a "magic carpet" with cord printing, examine the geometric blueprint of works of art or see through optical illusions and puzzle pictures. In addition to the cross-curricular teaching sequences, a varied station operation encourages the children to work independently. At 14 stations they deepen their mathematical knowledge artistically. Numerous photocopying templates and didactic tips make it easier for them to plan their lessons.
