Kulturvermittlung und Interkulturalität, ein Deutsch-Französisch-Tunesischer Dialog

Discourses and publications on interculturality are now legion. The attempts to capture the phenomenon in its complex diversity are hardly manageable. This complicates the establishment of a generally accepted conceptual framework. It can only be asserted with certainty that interculturality is a cross-disciplinary concept. In this anthology, neither the problems of intercultural communication nor the dimensions and terminologies of interculturality are predetermined by its editors. It is left to the authors themselves to perceive and reflect on the phenomenon in its complexity or even just in specific aspects. Fifteen years after an initial series of events of the integrated German-French study programs Paris-Nanterre/Potsdam focusing on the intercultural aspects of German-French relations, new societal developments and global challenges have now come into focus, which the interdisciplinary and intercultural framework in which the authors of this publication have exchanged ideas addresses: an international colloquium of Tunisian Germanists at the University of Monastir on cultural mediation and interculturality, as well as a German-French dialogue with the Maghreb countries in legal studies at the University of Tunis-El Manar.
