Tyranny has no words; it has sounds of pain and suffering, it has the roar of cruel hyenas, it has the echo of witch screams, and ultimately, it deserves no words to describe it. This book vividly portrays the culture of a people and how this culture is denied and categorically rejected by a brutal regime in Myanmar. The Rohingyas have blended their centuries-old culture and traditions with those of Hindus, Muslims, and Buddhists; linguistically, they have adopted elements from Arabic, Persian, Sanskrit, Pali, Bangla, Burmese, Rakhine, and English; culturally, they have incorporated elements from Hindus, Muslims, Arabs, Afghans, Indians, Rakhines, Burmese, Buddhists, Chittagonians, and so on; thus, they are an emotionally and culturally rich nation. I have attempted to shed light on the culture of this unfortunate nation.
