Kryokonservierung der Eierstöcke und Auswirkungen auf die Knochen: ein neues Paradigma

The cryopreservation of ovarian tissue restores fertility, as is already well known in the scientific community. However, there are no published articles addressing its impact on bone metabolism, despite the increasing number of technologies that extend the survival of cancer patients. The aim of this book is to demonstrate that the treatment of morbidities associated with the care of female cancer patients opens a new paradigm for science: the autotransplantation of ovarian tissue after vitrification and reimplantation alters estradiol levels and has a positive effect on bone. This new field offers new insights and future clinical applications for patients undergoing treatment for cancer and other diseases that lead to ovarian failure and infertility.
