Product details

Kant's "Critique of Pure Reason" was published in 1781 in its first edition and in 1787 in its second edition, and has since been regarded as one of the milestones of philosophical thought and the beginning of modern philosophy. The work is a critique of the faculty of reason in general, concerning all knowledge that it may strive for, independent of all experience. It addresses the possibility or impossibility of metaphysics in general and the determination of both the sources and the scope and limits of the same, as Kant states in the preface. In doing so, he created one of the most influential writings, among others, for modern epistemology, metaphysics, and also the philosophy of religion.
