It is the story of my family, of all that was and all that I am. My life is that of my family. To be able to tell your own story, you have to start with the past. My story will always be that of my family, of my ancestors - because that is what makes me who I am today. You are always part of something bigger. The realisation behind it is almost impossible to grasp, and if you recognise the connections, you realise how insignificant you are. Often it is the insignificant, small things that change one's life. A Roma family and a non-Roma family became a family that, despite the different histories and cultures, never allowed itself to be distracted in its unity.
