Product details
Simone Eisele (1994) is the current scholarship holder of the HAP Grieshaber Foundation in Reutlingen. Her new installation works respond to her temporary return to the rural area in which the artist grew up. She takes up individual motifs from the reception of Jean-François Millet by Vincent van Gogh or Salvador Dalí. She deals with topics of simple life, physical labour and food production in agriculture and its industrial transformation. Eisele's interest in popular culture, myths and customs sets her on a course between the ephemeral idyll and a contrast between everyday life and the museum space.
