The field model is particularly suitable for demonstrating the sentence structure of German to students. By examining the position of the verb, one can determine whether the analyzed sentence is a verb-first, verb-second, or verb-last sentence. This classification helps in recognizing further structures.

Our practice material serves to review and deepen the understanding of the field model. It is structured into three levels of difficulty and can be used both in school and for self-study. However, the basic principle of the field model should already be known in order to successfully complete the tasks.

The printed practice material with photocopiable templates offers tasks in landscape format across 40 pages, organized into three levels, complete with hints and solutions.

Level 1 describes simple sentences,

Level 2 covers sentence structures with subordinating conjunctions and other types of subordinate clauses,

Level 3 ultimately deals with sentence sequences using coordinating conjunctions.

Levels 1 and 2 can already be used in grade 5, while Level 2 can be deepened in grade 7. With all three levels, students can also prepare for their final exams in German.
