The dildo evokes discomfort and pleasure. In fact, the dildo is the missing piece needed to solve the paranoid puzzle that lesbian sex represents within the sexual heterocentric model; it seemingly provides the answer to that pressing question: How do lesbians have sex without a penis? Whether it is added to sex or takes its place, the dildo as a supplement exists outside and remains outside the organic body. The dildo is an alien. It is both an exact copy and, paradoxically, the most foreign object to the organ. The dildo turns the penis against itself. It is conceived as natural, as a presence, and in this regard, it is self-sufficient. In heterosexual mythology, one penis is sufficient. With two, one already falls under the monstrosity of a living double: What is the dildo and what is the penis? If one has no penis, one is immediately categorized as such.
