Konfuzius

The philosopher Karl Jaspers counted him among the four "authoritative men", the most important intellectual greats who ever lived: the Chinese philosopher Confucius (551-479 BC). Like Socrates, Buddha and Jesus, he himself left nothing in writing. However, his thoughts and teachings were passed down in many ways by his students and their successors. The "Confucianism" based on him had a great influence on cultural life in China, East Asia and ultimately the rest of the world. Florian Russi has analysed the values and virtues taught by Confucius and documented them with references. The text provides an insight into the figure and work of the "master", whose ideas of humanity and personal development are still relevant today.
