Konfuzius

The philosopher Karl Jaspers counted him among the four most influential figures, the most important intellectuals who have ever lived: the Chinese philosopher Confucius (551–479 BC). Like Socrates, Buddha, and Jesus, he left no written records of his own. However, his thoughts and teachings have been extensively transmitted by his students and their successors. The Confucianism that is based on him gained significant influence on cultural life in China, East Asia, and eventually the rest of the world.
