Product details
A conflict-free life does not exist. Conflicts can rarely be resolved, but they can always be managed. They offer opportunities and productive possibilities that are worth discovering and utilizing. The established guide "Conflict Training," now in its 15th edition, aims to enhance one's competence in dealing with conflicts.
The book is divided into four parts: Part I lays the theoretical and conceptual foundations for understanding conflicts, Part II provides phase-specific methods for analyzing conflicts, Part III describes various strategies for conflict management, and Part IV summarizes the meaning of conflicts and the benefits of competent conflict resolution.
The book is designed didactically to be suitable for both self-study and the development of courses and seminars. Exercises, checklists, schematics, diagrams, and a subject index facilitate processing the content and direct implementation. In the 9th edition, the typology of the five conflict styles was expanded to eight styles. The thematic conflict management emerged as a separate strategy alongside the previous ones (structural, personnel, formal). The 15th edition has been reviewed and expanded once again.
The author, Prof. Dr. Karl Berkel, is a graduate theologian, graduate psychologist, and adjunct professor of psychology at the University of Munich. He works independently as a management trainer and organizational consultant.
