Complex dynamical systems are studied in various scientific disciplines - from physics, chemistry, biology and medicine to cognitive sciences and psychology to sociology and economics. This volume takes stock and points to future research perspectives. The common methodological topic is the modelling of complex systems whose dynamics are determined by non-linearity. However, mathematical methods and computer simulations only make sense if they are linked to concrete individual scientific analyses.
