Kompetenzerwerb und Lernen im Alter

The study text provides an overview of the current state of educational research on education and learning in later career phases and retirement age. The volume presents the results of recent gerontological, psychological, and sociological research on aging processes. Based on this, the development of various forms of learning and learning arrangements that meet the abilities and needs of older adults is discussed. Since the conditions for competence development and learning among older individuals are very heterogeneous, differentiated offerings are required. A particular focus is placed on intergenerational learning. Thus, the volume offers insights into current developments and concepts of age-sensitive competence promotion.
