Kommunalrecht in Nordrhein-Westfalen

The work, now in its 20th edition, has proven itself in both study and practice, focusing on the law of municipalities and municipal associations, particularly as outlined in the Municipal Code for the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (GO NRW). Special attention is given to the similarities and differences between municipalities and other local authorities with self-administration competencies. Among other topics, the chapters on municipal elections, municipal constitution, organ competencies and decision-making processes, state supervision, forms of municipal cooperation, and the economic activities of municipalities have undergone extensive revisions. The book continues to be aimed at both students of municipal law and employees in municipal administrative authorities. For students, it serves as a solid foundation for self-study, while practitioners benefit from numerous explanations and references for daily legal application. Harald Hofmann and Frank Bätge are professors, and Cornelius Wiesner is a full-time lecturer at the University of Police and Public Administration North Rhine-Westphalia.
