Arbitration proceedings are often more cost-effective and faster than construction proceedings before ordinary courts. The basis for arbitration proceedings in construction disputes is the "Arbitration Rules for the Construction Industry including Plant Construction" (SGO Bau). SGO Bau is published by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Baurecht e.V. and the Deutscher Beton- und Bautechnik-Verein e.V.. The authors comment in detail, competently and practically on the individual sections of SGO Bau.
