A large portion of all students shows a tendency to occasionally stay away from school without a valid excuse. In fact, 3 to 5% of a cohort develop forms of habitual school absenteeism, leading to chronic school refusal and dropout. This book addresses the phenomenon of school absenteeism primarily from an educational perspective. It focuses on specific school action methods and concepts that operate at the levels of pedagogy, school organization, and teaching, while also integrating extracurricular and non-school professional expertise into a network of cooperative support.
