Body language skills are invaluable for every educator—not only to optimally convey the content of lessons to a class or participants but also to understand the nonverbal messages that learners send. The more interested educators are in showcasing their skills in teaching, the more they should know about the use of gestures, body posture, facial expressions, and tone of voice. Each chapter of this book is followed by exercises, with answers provided at the end of the respective chapter. The final section is specifically aimed at those responsible for the training and professional development of teachers, lecturers, or course leaders; it also includes suggestions for organizing half-day and full-day training seminars on the topic of body language. Chris Caswell (*1950) is a member of the leadership team at Myton School in Warwick, Central England. He has conducted courses on the subject addressed here at numerous schools and other institutions. Sean Neill (*1945) has been researching nonverbal communication at the University of Warwick for over ten years; he also teaches courses on this topic and has published numerous research papers and a scientific study.
