This anthology examines the idea of the body and corporeality in the philosophy of late antiquity. To this end, questions of ontology, mathematics, physics, astronomy, biology, anthropology, theology and aesthetics are addressed. The importance of the topic derives both from its historical relevance (for the fine arts, literature, the subject sciences, religion and general cultural history) and from its philosophical importance. From a philosophical point of view, late antique reflection on corporeality contains an impressive wealth of meanings, which are discussed in this volume.
