The learning environments, along with the workbooks, form the core of the teaching materials. Their connection to everyday life motivates students to engage actively and exploratively with the content. They are suitable for collaborative learning in the classroom or in groups.

The grouping of the material makes it easier for teachers to differentiate instruction. It is clearly evident which content should be covered by all students and which goes beyond the basic material.

The content is divided into four groups:

• Assessment and review
• Foundations
• Deepening and continuation
• Mini-projects

In the learning environments, new terms and rules refer to a detailed glossary in the appendix of the textbook. The keywords from all "mathbook" textbooks are compiled in an online dictionary, enriched with examples and graphics.

The new "mathbook" places greater emphasis on automated practice. The textbook already includes training units under the sections "Calculation Training" and "Mental Geometry." Those who need more practice material are directed to interactive online exercises.
