Kleine und mittlere Unternehmen: Unternehmensnachfolge und Innovationspotenzial

The collected volume addresses selected current economic and legal questions under the overarching theme of 'Business Succession and Innovation Potential' that are related to the transfer of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It presents research findings from early-career researchers at the Faculty of Business, Behavioral, and Legal Sciences at the University of Lüneburg, whose research activities have long been focused on SMEs. The contributions in this book are arranged in a narrative arc, beginning with considerations on the quality and qualification of successor personalities, current aspects of the legal structuring and financing of business transfers, and culminating in strategic decisions that the new owner must make to ensure sustainable business success. A common thread in the contributions is the aim to establish a connection between theoretical insights and practical relevance.
