The necessary foundational knowledge—material selection, pattern development, calculation of shrinkage factors, and work techniques—is conveyed through four basic models that can be varied and adapted to individual style. A sleeveless top, a 3/4 sleeve top, a skirt, and a jacket with a collar and inset pockets—Inge Bauer clearly demonstrates in detailed images how to craft unique garments from thin felt. With her extensive experience as an instructor, she knows precisely where the challenges lie in making thin felt clothing and provides helpful tips and tricks in this book to successfully overcome them. The concept and photos for the book were created in collaboration with Ricarda Assmann and Hans König. This posthumous work will be published at the request of Inge Bauer by Regina Mattmüller-Maier as co-author.
