Product details

The young tailor's apprentice Wenzel Strapinski, who dresses well despite his poverty, arrives in a foreign town called Goldach and is mistaken for a Polish count because of his appearance. Out of shyness, he fails to clarify the misunderstanding and then tries to escape. However, he encounters a young lady, the daughter of the district councilor. The two fall in love, prompting Wenzel to continue playing the role of the count that has been thrust upon him, which will have consequences.
