Social security law is complex: About a dozen laws establish the legal foundations at the federal level; in addition, there is at least one implementing regulation for each. This work examines the procedural rules for social security lawsuits more closely using a concrete example - the Social Security Court of Zurich. It systematically presents and compares the procedural rules of the public law litigation process in occupational pension schemes and the Swiss Code of Civil Procedure (ZPO) in the area of supplementary health insurance. At the same time, it highlights pitfalls that may arise due to seemingly similar procedural rules.
