Kirche wohin?

The Church in Germany is currently in a phase of radical dismantling and restructuring. Not a few church officials are acting according to the motto: "Save what can be saved; hold what can be held!" In contrast, Gisbert Greshake resolutely calls for an ecclesial "real utopia" in which action is oriented not to the old but to the future. He traces tendencies that today already point to the future, and develops basic lines for a future church that reinvents itself: a minority church, a church of the laity, a spiritual church in a changed social form.
