The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Child Day Care Promotion Act defines the institutionalised promotion of children in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern as part of the education, upbringing and care mandate of crèches, kindergartens, after-school care and child day care. The aim of the law is to promote the individual development of each child. In addition, the compatibility of work and family life is to be strengthened through the exemption from parental contributions. However, quality assurance and development in early childhood education are constantly changing. This book addresses current practical issues relating to the implementation of the legal provisions of the KiföG M-V and its ordinances. It provides answers to legal and practical questions for local youth welfare organisations, providers of facilities, professionals and interested parents as well as all those who are legally active in this field. The comprehensively revised second edition incorporates the new regulations of the three laws amending the KiföG M-V, new and amended sub-legislative regulations, amended federal regulations and current case law. Susanne Wollenteit, Presiding Judge at the Administrative Court, and Johanna Ehlers, Senior Government Councillor in the Department for Child Day Care and Early Childhood Education at the Ministry for Social Affairs, Integration and Equality, have been involved in the development of the KiföG M-V and the associated state ordinances.
